Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

The DEA is sponsoring National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day tomorrow, Saturday, April 30, 2011, to help stem the tide of prescription drug abuse which has reached epidemic proportions (according to a recent DoseNation listing).

Enterprising locals across the nation are contributing to the effort by setting up their own drug take-back booths. Actually I just made that up, but it would be kind of a clever and subversive gig.

The day is followed on by DoseNation-sponsored National Prescription Drug Take Day on Sunday, May 1. Actually I just made that up too.

I'd always admonish my shooting partner to finish all his smack, as there are junkies out there going to bed without any skag.

Can you imagine what you'd get if you had a take-back station? Probably a bunch of stool softeners and diuretics. All the benzos and oxys get nicked by the grandkids these days.

The government is teaching us that we can't trust ourselves with our own old medicine, so we should voluntarily surrender it to them. Next time we need it we'll just have to buy some more, because the drug companies, doctors, and the government can control us even though we can't control ourselves.
