Russia to open marijuana retail chain

The first store to sell marijuana will appear in Russia in Nizhny Novgorod. However, it is not going to sell the psychotropic substance to everyone. Persons under 18 years of age will not be allowed to purchase this product, and pregnant women will not be able to enter the store either. The opening is planned for June. At the moment, the store chain management is holding negotiations with suppliers.

It has been decided to open a network of similar stores later in Moscow, Irkutsk and Samara.

It will be recalled that, as of December 2010, it is allowed by law to sell marijuana in Russia. The State Duma approved the project to distribute the psychotropic substances for medical purposes. Marijuana is also known as an anesthetic, antiepileptic, anticonvulsive, and antiemetic medicine.

Some have said, that those that wrote this story, are Putin- on the whole world; that search as the might, they cannot find any verification of this story anywhere in the western speaking press/ media. They say it looks like a fake. Aahahahaha, what did you expect..ahahahahah!
Do not be perturbed by such western comments- should this great news story, be followed up with massive cannabis clemency in Putin's Russia , then I shall personally go to Moscow for the release, and with permissions in hand, from the proper Russian ministry offices, stand by the Russian President and his fantastic Prime Minister, as they together- open the gates of freedom, and let their fellow Russians, who have been terribly victimized by decades of Western Drug War Propaganda, finally taste freedom in a Russia with medical marijuana for all those citizens who need the medicine. And I shall post it, on my Internet site, that is now but a one page web site , called the international cannabis clemency project . It will be linked at that site for world viewing- despite the western nay sayers, and their propagandist bosses.

iN THE END, IT IS WHAT HAS MERIT THAT WILL SURVIVE.

For a long time, on my FB page , Mr. Putin's images have posed the question.... You Americans, did you really think you could legalize marijuana for some of your citizens, while others remain incarcerated for the same behavior? Divorce yourself from such thoughts! Join or start a Cannabis Clemency Project in your Area. Do it for the people , all the people.............
...........Since all cannabis use, is medicinal use , all cannabis prisoner's in Russia, are like cannabis prisoner's held elsewhere in the world, "patients in denial"- people who think they are so called "recreational cannabis users". They, like their suppliers , who were actually cannabis caregivers before they became prisoner's of the state, are among the "obviously confused" for they think of themselves in these negative and wrong headed ways. Their confusion, a tribute to the lasting and far reaching effects of western world drug propaganda.

Perhaps Putin's Duma will drop the other shoe, and do a massive cannabis clemency project and free all of those Russians being held under this nasty western ruse? Should Putin's world decide I am correct , I will literally join them for the ceremonies, if they will have me as their guest.

I wonder what the amount of tax is-- there IS a tax, I preseme. Like any country in financial hard times, legalization of pot would be a source of tax. This tax should cover treatment centers, harm reduction information, and usual business costs. Any left over from those expenses could be allocated to areas outside the marijuana business such as welfare programs, senior programs, and local government budget needs.

While that is great news, the barring of pregnant women is ridiculous. There is one major longitudinal study on the children of pregnant women who smoked marijuana. Amazingly, looking at both physiological and psychological parameters at numerous ages, the kids whose mothers smoked marijuana were equal or in better health than the control group! Needless to say the authors of this study had a hard time finding a place to publish it, but eventually did.

Marijuana's stigmatization will one day be reversed as science increasingly establishes that it is not only not harmful, it is actually good for human health (anti-inflammatory, reduces tumors, etc).

What does it mean that "it is allowed by law to sell marijuana in Russia"? Is it completely legalized there now? Is it more or less liberal than the Netherlands? Even in the Netherlands it's technically illegal, and they just have an explicit policy of non-enforcement.
