Psychedelic Science in the 21st Century

Tickets for the MAPS 2010 psychedelic conference are now available. This event is on April 15-18, 2010, in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Psychedelic Science will bring together international experts to present on psychedelic research and psychedelic psychotherapy topics for the largest conference dedicated solely to psychedelics in the U.S. in 17 years. There will be three full days of programming with concurrent tracks exploring clinical applications, issues relevant to healthcare professionals, and social and cultural issues surrounding the therapeutic and recreational uses of psychedelics.

An invaluable resource for my college [cough] education was old issues of "The Psychedelic Reader," later renamed "The Psychoactive Reader," in the stacks of the science library at [redacted]. Great accounts by medical professionals of psychedelic effects, many of them "freak outs" at concerts and other large events. Definitely worth a read.
