New research: Italian scientists study rats on ecstasy having sex to loud music

A new landmark study has been published, demonstrating for the first time that rats on ecstasy who listen to loud music have more sex than rats on ecstasy who do not listen to loud music.

Yes, that's right, while some scientists merely search for the cures to catastrophic diseases, or the answers to fundamental questions about life and the universe, there are other heroic men and women who go much much further to shed light on the rats who have sex on ecstasy while listening to loud music.

Surprisingly, one hour exposure to loud music, which per se resulted ineffective, antagonized the suppressive effect of MDMA by increasing the percent of animals displaying sexual activity.

Who knows how this might effect the lives of rats who like to party it up at nightclubs and raves? But one important unsettled question remains: what is the best loud music to listen to if you're a rat on ecstasy having sex?

Let me know when they are ready for human trials and where to sign up? LOL. I too want to know what type of music where they playing? NIN I want to F!!ck you like an animal? LOL, I clicked on the link and this was published in a peer review journal. The purpose of this study is? A new ED treatment?

What about the poor grad student who had to verify which subjects reached ejaculation. Was it like a rat orgy or 1 on 1 action? Did any opt to switch sexual preference? Guess I will need to renew my pubmed subscription to find out. The LOL's continue. Great post.

you get funding from religious groups to prove that drugs and loud music cause promiscuity. morality science pays the bills.

"Simple minded creatures are more likely to fuck when stressed the fuck out, maybe?"

I like to have sex when I'm stressed; my wife doesn't. So yea, this is a distinct possibility.

Better question would be how does anyone get funding for this? Another good question would be what's the formula for rodent 'copulatory efficiency'? How many rats did they have to watch in order for this to be statistically significant? What if the rats didn't want to have sex, was some poor grad student the rat fluffer?
