H+ Magazine

H+ is a new transhumanist e-zine edited by RU Sirius of Mondo 2000 fame, and they just released their first issue. Here is some of their PR copy:

Humanity Plus (formerly the World Transhumanist Association) – in collaboration with former Mondo 2000 editor RU Sirius -- is pleased to present h+. A web-based quarterly magazine, h+ covers the scientific, technological, and cultural developments that are challenging and overcoming human limitations.
Recently, there has been a growing and evolving public discourse about new technological trends and possibilities. Scientists and edge thinkers are talking about -- and working on -- slowing or ending aging; body and brain enhancement; biological control of the genome and the evolutionary process; and the possibility of a technological singularity brought on by AI… to name just a few of the interests and obsessions of this new edge tech culture.

You can download the PDF of the first issue at the H+ website. And it appears that I have an article on intelligence training on page 34, which posits that your sad human brain is pathetically underpowered for modern life.

You know why all those US seals will turn to red circles, it's because the real futuristic culture hasn't forgotten the spiritual realities and the soul, nor where the 'nwo techie world' comes from - nuclear fallout.

I sent them an article many months ago. You never actually know what is going to be in the mag when it comes out though.

I was big into MONDO2000 when it was in publication, but now that the years have passed - it sounds like 'lets all take matrix blue-pills and have those NWO microchips put in our heads', not as appealing as MONDO was way back then........

I hope it isn't that kind of soul less though...

if you haven't read MONDO2000 then I recommend checking out the Xandor Korzybski letters, and other pieces that were featured a few times. He was right about all the things that went on to happen! Pay attention to what he wrote about FEMA for example, in light of the last few years.
