Amy Winehouse's drug connection busted

Police arrested John Blagrove and Cara Burton on charges of supplying the singer with cocaine and ecstasy, according to British media reports. The charges stem from a video that surfaced earlier this year that showed Winehouse smoking a pipe that allegedly contained crack cocaine. Police questioned her about the event but released her without charges.

Like I said before, Winehouse is all we got right now. If someone could get video of Shia LaBeouf in a sordid crack-smoking orgy with some underage teens then we can change the subject. Until then the soul-cow rules the drug headlines.

What *is* the deal with the constant Winehouse stories here? Is there some secret code you need to know about, so that the obsession makes any sense? Is it that her demise is supposed to trigger some beneficial event, like it'd ironically stop the authorities having a say in what drugs people want to take?

It's not what drugs you do that are the problem, it's what you do when you're on them that counts. Are they going to make all kinds of power tools illegal too, since they can all be used to easily kill anyone and can be bought by anyone.
Hell, if you want to go on a murder spree - take a nailgun. You could bag about 50 in a mall before anyone realises it's you doing it. And they make it a lot more efficient to chop up bodies at home, do power tools. And cause most everyone is zombied anyway and filters the noise out, you wouldn't even get reported even if they can hear you.

What exactly has Amy Winehouse meant to have done while on crack/whatever that is such a public nusciance? Did she vandalise anything? Run over people due to being unable to drive? Play her stereo outside? Disturb the peace? Mug people? Hang around shops or street corners drinking cheap liquor and shouting abuse at passersby?
Or did she just do drugs, end of story, only reason anyone knew she did it was because they were spying on her due to their having no life of their own.

There's actually editions of The Sun on sale in obscure UK towns, printed entirely in Polish. The tabloids are always going on about there being this massive influx of Polish immigrants here. The amount I've actually seen myself or have heard exist: 0.

And if Oz was like Italy, then Murdoch would be their political leader.
