Rep Conyers asks DEA to justify California medical marijuana raids

US Representative John Conyers, head of the House Judiciary Committee, has sent a letter to the DEA asking them a series of pointed questions about their raids on medical marijuana patients and dispensaries in California, which we all know legalized medical cannabis in 1996.

Slate has it.

Mmmmm. There's a lot of that acting-routinely & not-doing-things-properly going about; it's epidemic level zombie holocaust.

The thing is though - these 'people' DO care. They care about never ever being responsible enough to act and behave in accord with things like, known facts.
They have an underlying creed and basis for what they do, and they really really care about keeping to that.

I mean, consider the excess energy required to go so against nature and truth, that you are able to hold together a character that behaves as if marijuana is something that deserves to be illegal. Think of all the mantras involved in convincing yourself of such a thing. The willpower at work in ignoring all natural rationality.
They care SO MUCH about maintaining all that.

All for nothing.

YES! Someone in congress has finally started demanding answers. I'm sure the DEA will respond with: "We don't really care. We're just doing our job."
