Straight-A student sells coke to pay college bills

ALTOONA, PA. — Police say a straight-A business student at Penn State-Altoona told them he has been selling cocaine to finance his college education... Police say [he] told them he sold drugs because his mother's poor credit rating kept him from getting student loans.

Oh the things people will do for a college education...

At one point, I was selling cocaine for my college education too. This is not uncommon, I knew a lot of people in college whose main income source was from selling drugs.

I would have thought that lawn manicuring would originally be done by grazing goats. They'll give you a neater and cheaper mow than peasants with sickles. My point being that manicured lawns were not originally exclusive of farming, or at least grazing.

Totally OT zupa, but the whole lawn mowing thing descends from landed gentry in europe having so much land they didn't need to farm anymore, so they set plots of it aside to be manicured and sculpted by their servants for their rich lord friends to lounge around and play polo and croquet on sunny days. The obsession with keeping your lawn mowed and hedges trimmed is a status symbol associated with wealth in the west. We don't need to farm our land, we buy all our food in cardboard boxes, thank you very much.

Plus it wouldn't have been f*cking news would it, if he'd have made money off selling stuff that poisons and chops up nature, and noise pollutes, or one of about a billion other schemes that are considered to be normal and perfectly legal - but in reality are infinitely worse than selling drugs, and completely indefensible, especially when compared to doing a few lines of coke.

Meanwhile we have to keep hearing all their crap that "drugs make you stupid / mad / ill / waste your money", whilst they are mowing their lawns for no good or discernable reasons, pouring poisons down their sinks every day, and other so-called normal things that are coincidently all insane, pointless, unrequired, and a waste of their money and that damage their health in various ways.

I don't recall any records at all of anyone dying, or even being afflicted by, mass grass-cut lacerations to the lower leg out of the many thousands of years people and grasses have coexisted here on planet Earth.

Shoe-technology improves, yet they claim to need to mow lawns and use things like strimmers. Oh and heaven-forbid if you don't chop that hedge, cause you know how so many people have died & gotten sick from plants growing to their regular shape and sizes.

Drugs should be legal anyway, so I don't see what their problem is there.

Any student who earns straight A's in business would consider selling coke. : ) It just makes sense.
