I noticed that in some of the articles reporting Hofmann's death the authors felt in some way obliged to distance themselves, to say: OK, an important person, but remember kids, acid is a killer drug. A bit of a complicated message...
How did that Leary quote go? "Psychedelics cause delusional behavior in people who haven't taken them"? I don't remember it exactly, but it just kinda suits the situation...

the AP article didn't really offend me, I just found it funny that the author had such poor writing skills. The article was not clear enough that I know if should be offended or not!
