Marijuana officially inhibits cancer

A group of scientists gives us reefer fans more to rejoice about:
Background: Cannabinoids, in addition to having palliative benefits in cancer therapy, have been associated with anticarcinogenic effects. Although the antiproliferative activities of cannabinoids have been intensively investigated, little is known about their effects on tumor invasion.

Man, between this and prion diseases you'd be stupid NOT to smoke weed.

It appears to inhibit brain cancer only because smoking marijuana shrinks the brain to such a degree that even the brain tumour itself shrinks. In severe cases of marijuana-induced brain atrophy, people will even claim to enjoy listening to the Grateful Dead. (In men it also causes the testicles to shrink while at the same time stimulating the growth of breasts; women, on the other hand, get hairy legs and armpits from marijuana consumption.)

What does weed do with regard to prion diseases? Some kind of protective anti-mutagenic effect? Fight mad-cow with loco-weed?
