From Post: Cocaine addicts choose cash now over coke laterAs seen in lots of clinical trials, one of the best treatments for addiction is so-called "contingency management" which means giving some sort of reward (cash or non-cash redeemable voucher -- doesn't even have to be worth that much) in response to clean drug tests. In that case, people avoid using cocaine, nicotine, etc in return for a certain, defined reward in the future.

From Post: How does an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet work, anyway?Scram only detects alcohol so u can still do drugs. Although it would suck worse to fail a drug test than fail for booze. Just take it off and put it on someone who's not drinking and put it back on later

From Post: 'Spice' incense contains designer cannabinoidsOk me and my friends have been smoking spice for about 2 months now and we do it everyday. Only once have i ever had a bad trip because i over used it never smoke 2 blunts of this shit it will make you feel dead. The only thing I like about this stuff is that I can pass my drug test at work and that it makes me high but if they would just legalize weed I would go right back to it.

From Post: Cocaine addicts choose cash now over coke laterGonna have to agree with oopadoop on this one. The results of this study are invalid unless proposing a real scenario with cash and cocaine present. Watch as they all choose the coke, do a bit, then try and talk the researchers into letting them change their minds.

From Post: Turfing: For RobertoThank you Gwyllm, for your loving tribute to Roberto
Robert Venosa was a strong influence on my creative life since my youth. And as we cross paths over the years, his personal life with Martina was an inspiration. I love them so much... Just last month while teaching with Laurence Caruana and Amanda Sage in Torri, Italy, Venosa was much very much a part of the creative inspiration. His books at the seminar were influencing the next generation of young visionary artist....He opened doors of possibilities I'm very very grateful to be a part of his influence. In a world so deeply troubled and pessimistic, he brought visions of positive possibilities to the collective imagination. Much Love Dononamous. : 2011-08-17 20:21:33

From Post: Cocaine addicts choose cash now over coke laterSeems like the participants would have a reasonable expectation of the researchers NOT giving them the cocaine.
I have a hard time relating the results of this study to reality.

From Post: Cocaine addicts choose cash now over coke laterThey just want the money to go and buy more coke.

From Post: Cocaine addicts choose cash now over coke laterI probably because a large amount of money wont have you end up as retarded as a large amount of coke

From Post: Cocaine addicts choose cash now over coke later$1000 seems kinda a weird number to pick. ONe would think response depended on the size of money being offered. I can imagine a situation where a user might prefer $500 to $1000 worth of coke, but may choose $40 worth of coke over $20.

From Post: Gil Scott Heron's Forgotten Classic 'Angel Dust'By the way, for those who didn't know, GSH died a month or three ago. Apparently he had a long-term problem with crack, which obviously didn't help things.
