you are so stupid for saying this. if paper companys would use hemp instead of trees we could stop chopping down every fucking tree we see and grow fields of hemp and make way more product for way less money. oh but dear lord our government wouldnt want us to use hemp like the fucking declaration was written on just because it's related to marijuana.

@Adam, also, serotonin syndrome is heart irregularities and high blood pressure related to too much serotonin, usually in the wake of an adverse drug reaction. It has nothing to do with the inability to produce serotonin. Perhaps if you had looked it up yourself you would not be making such ludicrous claims.

This is a false statement. Some kids are just hyper because they are kids, they do not need ritalin, but ADHD can be identified as a genetic trait related to the inability to produce or uptake sufficient quantities of dopamine. This can be related to genetic differences in neurons that produce dopamine or receptors that bind with dopamine. These genetic traits are passed through families, and ADHD people are generally more adventurous and sexually promiscuous (thrill seeking), making this genetic trait somewhat advantageous from an evolutionary perspective.

Taking ritalin does not burn out the brain's ability to produce serotonin, this is also a false statement. You may have a serotonin deficiency that was incorrectly diagnosed as ADHD, and I agree that the improper diagnosis of ADHD and the rush to medicate is a problem. However, ADHD does exist, it is not a myth, and ADHD people that are not diagnosed or medicated as children still seek dangerous activities (such as drug use) in their teen and adult lives with higher frequency then their peers.

There is a large body of research in this area. Please do not spread myths about things just because you were inappropriately diagnosed. You are right to be angry, but you are not correct to spread false statements.

Then we get serotonin syndrome (look it up) and it's labeled as Tourette's Syndrome.

Bitching time! They took my fucking childhood away. Sure, it's not like I was raped or anything, but hell. I can't make enough of my own serotonin anymore. Those nerves atrophied a LONG time ago.
And now the American government is simply taking the child away, when the parent refuses to medicate. With SWAT teams.

The Orlando Sentinel in or around 2003-4 was writing an article that lasted 7 days by i believe a lady named Bloodsworth. She had people mezmorized with the "horrors" of oxycodone ir and er. the article became front page news every day for a week and if you believed the crap that bloodsworth was saying, it was becoming apparent that she was on her way to a pulitzer prize.

On virtually every story she wrote, i contacted her nearly every day to let her know that her sources were bad and she was printing lies that only produced hysteria in the community. I broke my back, fractured ribs in 27 places and punctured my spleen from falling through a roof. the ribs did not heal properly and the impact caused 7 herniated disks. for two years i sufferred so horribly I was planning my suicide. Only the medication would take away enough pain where i could live at least a sub normal life.

So, after continually blasting miss bloodsworth and her article and warning the sentinel they were printing lies (the sentinel did nothing about it), finally after the last article of the seven dday series came out and it was a lengthy apology to the readers of the sentinel, saying that bloodsworth had fabricated most of the information and even had paid a heroin addict to claim he was hooked on oxycodone and was about to submit to a procedure that put the patient into a coma for 3-5 v days to get over the withdrawals. It was all false. these types of articles are really hurting people like me who have taken this medication for ten years now. without it, I would have gone insane from the pain.

My suggestion is that we don't need any more attention getting laws written by legislatures who have used "drug epidemics" in the past to boost their careers. It's disgusting! Let law enforcement handle the people who are selling it and leave people like me alone! So florida legislators; stop taking the easy way out to problems and do your jobs!
