In an episode of the new cartoon, "Adventure Time with Finn and Jake," Finn mentions DMT from the pineal gland. According to reader JRoasted, "Any and all suspicions about the writers of this program have been confirmed =D."

you guys are idiots, it's just a show, half the kids watching it don't even comprehend the references. if you guys find the show that offensive, don't watch it. it seems to me that you guys know a lot about for people who hate it so much.

you don't have to trash talk this show to prove a point. just stop watching it.

This show has drug references because it's not some kids show for Christ's sake. It's rated for teen audiences. PG 13 to be precise. LSP stands for Lumpy Space Princess, and it's supposed to sound like LSD. Finn quotes Lumpy's name this way because she's annoying, making fun of her name by refering it closely to LSD. It's like being called four eyes.

It doesn't necessarily mean the shows writers have taken DMT as a drug, but it shows that at least some of them are familiar with Rick Strassman's theories about endogenous DMT.

dmt is in your brain and it is something every person in the world is going to experience. it is released into your brain when you die that's why a lot of people say they see a "white light" or something similar so get over it its more than just a drug its apart of life

" And if you ARE parents, good luck to your children if they watch this garbage."

To use a shamelessly hipster phrase, it's culture jamming. (Many) people like to see such references in mainstream media because it represents a potential softening of the insane attitude our culture has to certain consciousness-altering things.

Just because you find such references appealing on some level doesn't mean that you want your kids to grow up into some kind of drug abuser. At least I'm a parent and I don't.

Drugs have always affected culture's unfolding, and if you'd like to deal with that fact by just ignoring it, good luck to YOUR kids!

Great stuff? Good find?! This show is CRAP! How old are you people? Once you become parents, you'll find all this drug reference just isn't funny. And if you ARE parents, good luck to your children if they watch this garbage.

Anyone seen the Trouble in Lumpy Space episode (s1e1b)? After Jake is stricken with "the lumps" he and Finn have to follow LSP (sounds like LSD doesn't it?) to another world through a frog sitting on top of an amanita muscaria mushroom.

Such an entertaining show! Good find.

Another gem of this show is show is the episode entitled "freak city". Jake and Finn come across a starving begger , and the only food Finn has on him is a lone sugar cube...The moment the man eats it there is an explosion of colors and the man turns into a magician.

Great stuff.

the toad wizard named Bufo on the other side of a demon portal was a small hint (s1e6a), but this is a little more overt.

even with all math aside this show drops some serious wisdom.
