A look at legal highs

Recently, there have been a few nasty developments in the world of legal highs. I was contacted by this week by GMTV and Radio 5 Live, asking for an interview about the 'new' legal high Ivory Wave causing a stir. Unfortunately, I couldn't give any interviews for various boring reasons and could only give a bit of advice over the phone/email, so I thought I'd write a post about it now I've got the time. Also, The UK's old friend JWH-018 seems to be causing some trouble over the pond, having been linked a couple of deaths in Indiana. Finally, our government have made some more noise about the 'problem' of legal highs which makes no difference for a good year or so and will only make matters worse when they manage to cobble some new legislation together eventually.

i think JWH is probably not bad in small, sporadic doses. however, i know a few people that started using it heavily and began to not only feel, but also look unhealthy. they become pale and had increased anxiety (one said this was mainly due to an overall "unhealthy" feeling in his body).

not saying JWH is super dangerous, but i do not think it's harmless, and do think it's obvious that more research needs to happen.

also, i would very much like to see some examinations of the contents of the legal "party pills" (i will not mention brands, but i mean doves, diablos and such). there has been very little examination of what is in these pills, and they never seem to get much mention in articles about legal highs, but maybe they are just not as rampant as the bath salts and JWH.

JWH-018 is actually a chemical that is sprayed onto natural herbs like damiana, which by itself is known to have an aphrodesiac type effect. But the JWH-018 has a genetic makeup almost identical to that of THC and was designed specifically to affect the same receptor cells in the brain that THC does. It's a little scary because we still don't know the long term effects...

the new white hope is something called Benzo fury or 6-apb a supposedly toxic free version of mdma. does it work? Do people get what they ordered? i do not know .
The whole area of legal highs is a mindfield and seems to be as dodgy as buying form persons unknown on a street corner especailly at the moment in the uk

JWH-018 is almost exactly like real bud. I was totally surprised by this and thought they had actually put bud in it but I knew that wasn't the case because it didn't smell like it. At no point did I ever feel like I was gonna die though.
