I had a ++++ experience where I had no memory of anything that didn't happen in my mind, not only were all 5 senses turned off, I had no access to direct memories of the senses, as if I never had any, ever, not even in the past. It was that strong and still positive for me, and I haven't done it since, in over years. About as long as since I have done E, which is addictive. And why? Because a) I can remember seeing my death, the big bang, and the afterlife, "Angels" + God (God was a woman and the Angels were like us but more self-aware, non-corporeal) and I still don't want to do it again. I have felt that good on drugs and all less intense experiences beckon repetition. Salvia is so strong I actively avoid it. I know for a fact I could get at least 5g of 20x salvia for $200 (probably get a discount, the local head shop loves to cut spontaneous deals... good for business, to act like our dealers do ;) but I won't do it. Instead I have been drinking coffee and alcohol (too early for that, I admit) and smoking cigarettes while craving weed, each one less intense and none nearly as consistent at producing revelations (or at least ones that don't make me seem like an idiot upon reflection.) But salvia is not only legal here, I can get it without cash - the headshop takes credit. Still don't want it. I'm waiting for some $ to come in and putting smokes and alcohol on credit. And I still want what I can't obtain (weed; no dealers accept visa) but the thought of smoking salvia makes my hair stand on end with trepidation.
And they call it an alternative to weed? If that were close to true, I'd be firing it up right now. What's more accurate would be to say it's an alternative to DMT, which is not only rare (and could use an alternative) but is closer to the truth.
But parents aren't concerned their child will smoke DMT, so pick another lie.

The effects are very short lived, and nobody is going to become a Salvia junkie. It is weird and not at all euphoric. And when I say weird, I mean REALLY weird. Worth a try, though.

There is no need for a law. The thing about making a law is that some people somewhere are going to go to jail for this, and the weed is so harmless it is not worth wrecking even one person's life.

What thoughtful voters ought to be doing is getting rid of elected officials who pass laws like these before they hurt more young people by putting them in jail for a non-crime like Salvia.

I'm not a single issue voter, but I always vote against politicians who make drugs laws a priority, vote to increase penalties, or come up with more drug laws. If enough people begin to vote in this way, politicians may start to notice.

If they feel the heat, they'll see the light. :)

I don't think I was emotionally scarred. I had a ++++ and went from athiest to agnostic in fifteen minutes. Could not have been stronger, amazed I remember as much of it as I do. It was a blessing. And these people want to treat it like PCP!
